General Information: The Department of Biology at Morehouse College seeks broadly trained candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2024. Qualifications/Requirements: Candidates must have an earned PhD and post-doctoral experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: computational biology, plant biology or developmental biology. Preference will be given to applicants with interdisciplinary experience or data science experience (such as bioinformatics and biological modelling).
Responsibilities: Candidates will be expected to establish a research program that engages with undergraduates, pursue external research funding, and teach both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses, including courses for non-science majors to support the General Education curriculum of the college.
