General Information:
Provide support for the development, implementation and evaluation of training programs of the Global Conservation Consortia (GCC). Funding for this full time position is temporary with an expected duration of 2 years.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required plus education and project management experience
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills, including public speaking, with a sincere desire to train conservation professionals. Knowledge of plant conservation, botany, arboriculture, population genetics, environmental policy, or ecology beneficial. High level of proficiency in computer skills (including: MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Suites, virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, project tracking software such as Monday.com) are required. Experience collaborating across teams and institutions and providing high level of stakeholder support is critical Experience with program evaluation Experience with coordinating on/offsite meetings is beneficial. Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Magnolia, Oak and Cycad Consortium Coordinators in developing, implementing and evaluating training programs and communications
Develop training materials and content in collaboration with the Consortia -Coordinators Assist with consortium training meetings Assist with developing evaluation methods and carrying out evaluation of training sessions Contribute to grant reporting Support general communications of the Conservation Consortia Organize and maintain files, including documents, photographs, video and audio recordings Create social media posts and email campaigns Use WordPress to update web page content and create posts Implement the evaluation process of the outreach material developed as part of the IMLS GCC grant Manage the annual assessment survey process by coordinating communications with partner institutions, preparing assessment data for analysis, evaluate data, present findings, and finalizing content for internal and external audiences Other duties as assigned
