General Information: A post-doctoral position is available as part of an NSF-sponsored investigation of morphological evolution in the grass tribe Andropogoneae.
Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications include a Ph.D. in systematics or a related discipline; familiarity with phylogenetic methods and approaches to studying character evolution, and basic knowledge of statistics. Knowledge of plant morphology and morphological evolution is highly desirable.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take a leadership role in generating a species-level phylogeny from existing genomic data, producing extensive morphometric data from images, assessing the extent to which morphological integration (correlation of sizes of parts) correlates with diversification, and undertaking experimental work to estimate functional integration.
