General Information: The Agricultural and Environmental Research Station for the West Virginia State University Research and Development Corporation invites applications for the position of a full time Plant Biotechnology Research Technician. The successful candidate will assist and/or conduct research related to the breeding fresh market tomatoes for protected culture production and will assist in the supervision of undergraduate students, graduate students and others. The nature of the work requires that candidates be tobacco-free.
Qualifications/Requirements: Requires a master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Plant Science or other related science degree, with experience in molecular biology, knowledge of routine molecular biology/biotechnology lab techniques and ability to plan experiments and interpret results preferred.
